A licensed insurance producer, Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Certified Professional in Personal Lines (CPPL), Matt is passionate about informing and educating his clients on the coverage they have and the policies they should consider. Whether the need is homeowners insurance, auto insurance, specialized coverage such as coastal property insurance, or a basic Business Owners Policy (BOP), he’s committed to protecting each client with the performance-based insurance program that's right for them.
Matt excels at building relationships with both new and longtime clients, and with more than 17 years’ experience in the insurance industry, he enjoys sharing his expertise. As an independent agent working with the accomplished team at Sylvia Group and the national network of Alera Group, he’s able to offer clients options and resources unavailable through most other agencies and direct sellers.
A graduate of Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and Marietta College with a B.S. in history, Matt worked nationally and internationally as a software trainer on military bases before beginning his insurance career. Prior to becoming an independent agent, he worked as a customer service representative for Liberty Mutual Insurance. He joined Sylvia Group in March of 2017 and, after a brief return to the carrier side of the commercial insurance industry as a field sales specialist with CNA, he returned to the agency in early 2020.
