John Beauregard, CIC, LIA
During more than three decades as a business insurance professional in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, John has built relationships with clients by recognizing and addressing their unique risks and needs, providing them with the best available coverage and delivering dedicated, dependable customer service, particularly in the property development and management, medical manufacturing, municipal, education, and transportation insurance markets.
A member of Sylvia Group since 1989, John was named Executive Vice President in 2008 and became an ownership senior partner in 2017.
A Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Licensed Insurance Adviser (LIA), John works with clients to help them secure what they've invested in and built, evaluating the risks they face, developing customized policies to protect against those risks and creating comprehensive risk-management programs designed to save them money by reducing premiums. Among the premium-reducing solutions he's designed is a program offering discounted rates to members of the Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC) through Chubb and BIO Business Solutions.
As a husband and father who is actively engaged in his community, John understands that being a business owner doesn't entirely define who you are. Working with the team at Sylvia Group, he takes a comprehensive approach to helping clients manage multiple business priorities and other needs in their daily lives, including employee benefits, financial planning, auto insurance, homeowners insurance, life insurance and more.
The founder of the Dartmouth Education Foundation and a former member of the Providence College Board of Governors, John is a past winner of the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year award. He is currently the Chairman of the Greater New Bedford Regional Refuse District and a longtime member of Dartmouth Town Meeting. He is also a Corporation and Finance Committee member of the SouthCoast Community Foundation as well as a council member for the NBEDC.
